When God began to create heaven and earth, and the earth then was welter and waste and darkness over the deep and God's breath hovering over the waters, God said, 'Let there be light.' and there was light.

As many of you know, I'm not a religious person. I'm spiritual, not religious. While making this though, all that could come to mind was that first quote from the bible where God made light.

Awesome picture! I love the sun. The one thing I'll suggest is that you make it brighter around the sun and its edges less defined. Then have stronger light coming from it, and maybe rays between your fingers and cool stuff like that.
Regardless I love the concept and the hands are posed perfectly!

This is pretty neat!

lol but what amuses me is that when God first makes light it he doesn't make a source for it (the sun and moon and stars come a few days later) and it isn't until after he makes light that he separates light from darkness. How epic would it be to have light AND darkness at the same time without a source for either of them?

y'know I once heard an actually understandable counterargument for this once as for how light could exist before a source (other than "that's just how it was hurr" )

Yeah, if glowing plasma was in the air or something. But it still sounds quit amusing. I'm sure there are explanations that would seem quite logical, but it's still good for a giggle or two when just reading what's written.
